After helping Chelsea seal a crucial top-four finish, Levi Colwill won’t be jetting off to Mykonos or Dubai like many of his Premier League peers.
Instead, the 22-year-old centre-back has a different destination in mind to mark the end of a rollercoaster campaign: LEGOLAND.
“I’ll be there,” Colwill said with a grin, revealing his plans to The Guardian to unwind at the iconic theme park now that Chelsea’s season has wrapped up.
The unconventional trip isn’t just a one-off novelty – it’s rooted in a hobby that’s helped him through some of the tougher stretches of his young career. For Colwill, building LEGO has become more than a pastime; it’s been a form of therapy.
“It just takes your mind away from everything,” he said. “Last season when I was struggling a bit I started doing it. I built the Home Alone one with the movie on in the background and time just flies. It was around Christmas time, so I got myself in the spirit.”

Inspired by a TikTok video featuring a LEGO-building creator, Colwill decided to give it a try – and quickly found it gave him a sense of peace he hadn’t experienced on the pitch during a tough spell.
“There’s no worries, there’s no problems,” he explained. “You feel relaxed and in your comfort zone. You’re not thinking about much more than that. When you put your mind to something, you blank out everything else around you. That’s why I enjoy it so much.”
After a campaign that saw him return to form and play a key role under Enzo Maresca, Colwill’s choice to celebrate with bricks over beaches feels perfectly on-brand – a calm, grounded moment to reflect after a chaotic season.
For Chelsea fans, it’s another sign that their young defender isn’t just composed at the back – but knows how to keep his head straight off the pitch, too.
